From me, you can expect to be treated with respect and compassion. I have been working within the field of social work for close to 30 years. My knowledge has developed from my extensive professional experience, my education, and my lived experience. I am a strong advocate with skills relevant to individual support, group facilitation, and system navigation. If you are a person with ADHD and/or have a learning disability (LD), or are a parent supporting a child with ADHD/ LD, I can help you navigate the education system through increased knowledge, understanding, confidence, skills, and strategies.
My approach is trauma informed, strengths based, and grounded in acceptance, self-care, and compassion. I know that knowledge is power and as our awareness increases so does our sense of agency. I also believe in the strength of community and facilitate a group for parents/caregivers who are navigating the Ontario Special Education System.

Navigating the Ontario public school system when ADHD and co-morbidities are present is a group for parents & caregivers. Goal is to develop your understanding of your child’s rights and navigate systemic challenges, Group is focused on creating a community that understands and cares as much as you! Topics: Invisible disabilities, language, role of professionals, IEP, IPRC, Psych assessment, request, plan, prepare for meetings, accommodations, advocacy skills, maintaining records, accessing records, escalating concerns, knowledge of the OHRC, Education Act, community resources, professional oversight, and formal complaint processes.
