I strive to provide a safe and creative space for people to gain a deeper self-understanding and develop tools for navigating life's challenges. My speciality lies in integrating the creative processes (music, visual art, creative writing, etc.) in therapy as tools for self-expression, exploration, empowerment, and growth. I see each person as an innately and uniquely creative person capable of using this creativity as a resource in their therapy. Sessions with me may integrate elements of talk therapy, music therapy, EMDR and somatic/body-based practices.
My approach to therapy is person-centred, affirming, and anti-oppressive that integrates many psychological approaches and theories. Therapy is also a collaborative process: together, we can develop skills and a deeper self-understanding to help you move through life.
Though I have specific clinical experience working with folks 13+, I welcome anyone and everyone in need of a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space to reach out. Additionally, as a queer therapist, I am especially passionate about supporting and empowering LGBTQ2SIA+ folks of all ages.
