About
I strive to provide a safe and creative space for people to gain a deeper self-understanding and develop tools for navigating life's challenges. As a registered counselling therapist (candidate) and accredited music therapist, my speciality lies in integrating the creative processes (music, visual art, creative writing) in therapy as tools for self-expression, reflection, and development. I see each person as an innately and uniquely creative person capable of using this creativity as a resource in their therapy. Sessions with me typically integrate elements of talk therapy, music therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.
My approach to therapy is person-centred, anti-oppressive, and strengths-based. Therapy is also a collaborative process: together, we can develop and work towards goals that enable you to live fully in all aspects of life.
Though I have specific clinical experience working with children and teens, I welcome anyone and everyone in need of a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space to reach out. Additionally, as a queer therapist, I am especially passionate about supporting and empowering LGBTQ2SIA+ and non-binary folks of all ages.
