Thanks for checking in! I'm Lita and I started my counselling therapist journey early in 2011. I was employed in group home settings for neurodiverse clients with mental health challenges. During graduate school I volunteered with the Nova Scotia Hospital and chose to focus on Trauma and Couples' Counselling as special interests, but I'm passionate about helping people feeling like themselves again; whatever that looks like. I moved home to Fredericton in the Spring of 2020 and I love being back home, close to family and friends.
I am a client-centered, trauma focused therapist certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment, and a Gottman Certified Couples' Therapist. Our caseload is mainly adults. I completed my Practicum with the NS Department of Justice: the Elizabeth Fry Society and the Burnside Correctional Facility.
