About
I have several years of experience working with adolescents, young adults and families on challenges related to stress, anxiety, emotion regulation, relationship issues, grief, parenting, family conflict and life transitions. I offer a gentle, caring and compassionate approach. I believe in the relationship between therapist and client to help individuals to reflect, explore and grow in order to develop successful relationships outside of therapy. Together, we can make sense of thoughts and feelings and connect them to previous and current experiences to change unhelpful patterns so that you can be your best self.
I have extensive training in a number of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Brief and Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I use an integrated approach tailored to individual needs, and often include mindfulness and self-compassion in my work with individuals.
Initiating therapy can be the hardest part. I offer an open, non-judgmental space to explore all thoughts and feelings. I offer free short consult calls to answer any questions and see if we would be a good fit. The best way to arrange this is by reaching out by email to coordinate a time to speak. I look forward to being a part of your self-growth journey!
