Hello! I’m Lisa, a Registered Social Worker, with an MA in Counselling Psychology. For those times when life is hard, whether you are struggling with relationships, decisions, boundaries, self-esteem, grief, or other tough issues, I am here to offer support, validation, and strategies for coping and healing. It is my goal for you to experience a non-judgmental, empathetic, and respectful counselling relationship as I offer my genuine self to you as a helper. My role is to empower you with the skills and tools to navigate through the times when life feels overwhelming.
As we explore the thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and situations that are troubling or difficult for you, I use Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavior Therapy approaches to explore ways to help you feel better. For couples in need of support, I use the Gottman Method to work with you to create and maintain a healthy relationship.
I realize the vulnerability it takes to share details of your life with another person and it is important to me to build a trusting and respectful relationship and help you feel comfortable to share and reflect. Together we will consider what brings meaning to your life as well as your unique experiences, challenges, and strengths.
