Lisa has been practicing Social Work since 2012 in various areas such as child welfare, youth with disabilities, counselling with women and children who have witnessed violence, disaster psychosocial support, mental health and substance use counselling, and more. Lisa holds an Associate Certificate in Trauma and Crisis Intervention, and became internationally certified as a Trauma Treatment Specialist in 2024. Lisa also works as a rural Firefighter adding to her experience and knowledge of the first responder culture and provides Disaster to individuals/ groups impacted by a disaster (eg. wildfire, flood).

She utilizes a person-centred, anti-oppressive, and strength-based approach to support clients where they’re at without judgment.

Understanding Grief Support Group
Grief groups bring people together to help heal your grief in a supportive and non-judgmental way. It helps to know you're are not alone in feeling this way. Participation in this group will help you explore your grief to find meaning and hope for the days ahead. This 12-week group is based on the book “Understanding your Grief – Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope & Healing Your Heart” by Alan Wolfelt. Each week we will focus on one touchstone to explore and discuss together, in addition to private journaling. Attendance at all 12 sessions is required.
