Parenting is difficult at the best of times. Add in the complexities of supporting a child or teen who is struggling and parenting becomes even more challenging. It can be hard to know where to turn to get support for you, your child or teen, and your whole family. I am here to help. I have worked in children's mental health for 18 years supporting children and youth with mental health and behavioural difficulties and their families. Together we can develop a plan to support your loved one. I will teach you the skills you need along the way.
The way you parent has not caused your child's struggles. It can, however, help lead them through their challenges. I will not ask you to do more; I understand the exhaustion and burnout of trying to hold everyone together. Focusing on small, manageable shifts can make a world of difference for everyone involved. We'll figure out together where to start.
Additionally, we can overcome what gets in the way if you feel like you struggle to be the parent you want to be. I can help you find joy in parenting and work more collaboratively with your co-parent. I invite you to reach out to me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation where you can choose if I am the right fit for you.
