My goal as a counsellor is to provide you with a safe and supportive space so you can begin exploring the challenges you face. If you are looking for a counsellor who listens with compassion, has lived experience, and proven skills that can help guide you through your tough feelings and thoughts, you have come to the right place. I specialize in supporting persons impacted by trauma ( PTSD, sexual, childhood, bullying, abuse, workplace, intimate partner violence) disordered eating, body image, obesity, addiction, ADHD, compassion fatigue/burnout, relationships, parenting, postpartum depression, anxiety, depression, and grief.
When working with people I like to start with a conversation around your concerns, goals, past and present stressors, strengths, and supports. I provide my clients with information and education so they can gain greater understanding. I also use counselling techniques such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, IFS, EFT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
Taking those first steps to reach out for support can be difficult. It also can be hard to find a counsellor that is right for you. I offer free 15-minute consultations so we can talk about your needs, while also getting to know one another better so you can feel more comfortable in your decision.
