Engaging in Individual Therapy allows for the opportunity to work through a range of emotional, interpersonal and psychological challenges that may be experienced. Committing to individual therapy can also help with learning effective coping strategies, improving communication and making meaning out of both your life challenges and accomplishments. Individual therapy can create momentum, help gain motivation, make room for acceptance, and develop mindfulness strategies to support healthy living.
Children and youth are provided support to determine both the potential positive and negative outcomes of engaging in therapy ( it can be helpful & feel scary!). When children & youth are apart of this process and decision making, treatment outcomes are often more positive.
There are various types of groups that may feel like a good fit for you based on your needs, learning styles, and overall goals. Groups offer individuals the experience of building community through relationship development, learn new skills to support their mental health and gain perspective, support and validation.
