Hi there! If you struggle with intense emotions, anxiety in relationships, or feeling like you are hard on yourself, you are not alone. You might even understand some of your patterns, but still feel stuck. I'd love to help! I'm a therapist that values authenticity, compassion, and collaboration.
In sessions, I take a warm and relational approach helping you feel genuinely understood, while also helping you make meaningful changes. In our work together, we'll slow things down and make sense of what's happening for you, while also building practical skills to help you draw on the strengths and insight you already have.
I have provided counselling support in a variety of settings including post-secondary institutions, community organizations, and inpatient clinical and forensic settings. I currently work with children (ages 10+), teens, and adults. I am especially passionate about supporting those who struggle with emotion regulation, shame, and self-criticism.
I believe that therapy should be tailored and individualized to your unique needs, however I most commonly integrate evidence-based approaches such as Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Please check out the Boost website to book an intake session and see if we're a good fit.
