I’m Lindsay Van Volkenburg, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience, and I’m deeply passionate about helping individuals experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, depression and trauma.
At my virtual private practice, Wave Wellness Therapy, my goal is to help you build awareness of what’s holding you back, break-down unhelpful patterns, and develop new skills. I take a holistic approach when it comes to helping my clients make change and I believe that when client’s challenges and strengths are validated in a supportive and therapeutic space, long lasting change is possible.
I have specialized training in CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, Brainspotting, and RLT. My approach is strengths based, with a focus on finding solutions so we don't stay stuck in what happened, and can move forward in to what CAN happen for you when you grow and heal!
As a client myself, I've been no stranger to anxiety, depression and loss. I also know how scary it can be to open up to a therapist. I place strong emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship so that we can work together with openness and form a plan to create long lasting change. I look forward to working with you.
