I appreciate that negative experiences can create the window for change. I am also very mindful that no matter how uncomfortable the journey is, it will lead us into a path of healing that looks different for everyone. I enjoy working with and am extremely passionate about trauma informed methodologies, and incorporate Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy into my practice.
My areas of specialty include trauma (recent and historical), trauma as it pertains to the mind/body connection, sexual assault, abuse (emotional, physical, verbal, mental, sexual), intimate partner violence, coping skills, codependency, addictions, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, grief, self-esteem issues, parenting, anger, and divorce.
