About
Throughout our lifespan we all face different challenges. Using our resourcefulness and creativity we meet those challenges to the best of our ability. However, sometimes a problem becomes too big or heavy for us to carry. We may find that we have used up all our resources, support and familiar methods and we feel stuck.
I offer counselling to individuals (youth 12-18 & adults) coping with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, low self-esteem, life transitions (i.e. retiring, challenges of new parenthood) and newcomers adjustment.
Counselling can help move from stuck to unstuck. It can lead to improved mental health by helping you better understand your thoughts, emotions and behaviors. During counselling sessions, we’ll try together to understand the origins of your challenges. We’ll also find better and more helpful ways to cope with them.
