Therapy is a way of getting unstuck. We don't need therapy every time we're stuck, of course, but when we've exhausted our best ideas and initiatives only to find ourselves no further along, looking for competent help makes sense. Every kind of problem carries important information, information about what feels wrong, yes, but also about what might feel right. That's obvious when we see a picture hanging crooked on a wall, but less obvious when we can't seem to right ourselves.

I have been working for 20 years in children, adolescent, and family mental health as a registered social worker and Child, Youth and Family Therapist, facilitator, and consultant. I specialize in children’s and family therapy, with particular expertise in helping families and youth with complex mental health needs that impact their ability to manage at home, in school, or both. I am a registered clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience. Most of my career has been spent as a therapist in the Anxiety Clinic at the Toronto Western Hospital (UHN). Anxiety can be experienced in many different ways: worry, panic, procrastination, avoidance, phobic responses and post traumatic stress are very common expressions of anxiety.
