I specialize in working with families experiencing grief, trauma and general mental health issues. The goal of counselling would be to provide a safe place where individuals can explore barriers to personal growth.
Healing occurs when we address the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual and social aspects of the human condition. The combination of nursing and social work makes my approach to counselling unique. Mindfulness practices are taught to reduce anxiety and to calm the nervous system. I am also a certified trauma therapist trained in EMDR.
Therapeutic attachment, trust and safety are tantamount to successful outcomes. The primary focus will be to build resiliency by teaching practices that transform your life.
