In clinical practice, I utilize a biopsychosocial approach that considers a client’s past, worldview, and perception of self. This allows for the holistic assessment of presenting issues, as well as individual client needs. My preferred therapeutic orientations to work with are cognitive behavioural therapy, exposure and response prevention, emotionally focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
Areas of greatest experience include obsessive compulsive disorder (including purely obsessional), generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, health-related anxiety, depression, panic disorder, pre and postpartum mental health challenges (including tokophobia), agoraphobia, and sober curiosity/alcohol use.
I am a LGBTQIA2S+ ally and comfortable working with a multitude of cultural frameworks and Faith origins. In working together, I can ensure a collaborative environment infused with empathy, active listening, and positive regard. Currently offering virtual sessions (only) across Ontario.
