I am a Mi’kmaw, queer therapist and registered social worker offering online therapy that is queer affirming, anti-racist, sex positive, body neutral, feminist, and trauma informed. I integrate an awareness of mental health, addiction, and stigma through lived experience into my practice and embrace a warm sense of humour in my practice that can make therapy seem less intimidating. I work with youth and adults addressing a range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and intergenerational trauma. I am also experienced in providing affirming support to those who are exploring gender and/or sexuality.

I’m a queer counsellor who primarily works with adolescents, adults, and those in both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships. I specialize in working with 2SLGBTQ+ people exploring gender and sexuality, as well as people coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, eating disorders, ADHD and lower support/Level 1 autism. I’m sex positive, sex worker allied, kink and polyam affirming, and work to be anti-racist, anti-oppressive and decolonial in my practice.

People are complex and various and as a counselor I want to help my clients meet their potential as humans. I am very interested in clients who are struggling with sexual issues, depression, anxiety, and pain managment. I can help couples work on improving intimacy and/or enhancing their sex life. I also can help individuals who are struggling with sexual dysfunction or addiction and work with individuals who may be struggling with sexual identity issues or dealing with family and societal stigma. NEW: Autism Assessments for children, adolescents, and adults with minimum wait time. I am currently doing my doctorate in psychology and provide counselling and assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults. Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) licences me to assess and diagnose Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual disability, mood disorders, PTSD, and anxiety disorders.

My main areas of experience are in trauma resolution, anxiety, depression, addictions, and relationships. I am a Registered Psychologist with an Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE). I have extensive experience working with men, women, and youth. My primary theoretical models are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Reality Therapy/Choice theory, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. As a therapist, I understand that both past and present struggles can have a significant influence on our ability to maintain ideal emotional and mental health.

I work with adults and teenagers experiencing depression and anxiety. I also work with people experiencing trauma, spiritual crisis, relationship issues, loneliness, problems due to medication, and stress in many forms. A block of time in my practice is kept open daily for those in crisis, who cannot find adequate support through the public system. I also work with couples wishing to heal relational concerns, and those with an inclination towards spiritual practice/life. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and welcome people from all faith backgrounds and walks of life. Sessions are available in-person, by email, and via video.

I am a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. I qualified in South Africa but have made Canada my home. I provide short and long term therapy to adults in Moose Jaw and surrounding areas. I have a keen interest in the human condition as I am one myself. This state of being a human, with both the wonderful and woeful feelings we experience, means that life can get complicated sometimes. Knowing this, my style in therapy is warm, honest and intuitive. I work collaboratively to get to the heart of suffering and find more effective ways to manage the experiences that life may bring.
