When you have questions or concerns about your own or your child's attention problems, learning difficulties, or social-emotional-behavioural (mental health) challenges, I can help. With Little Oaks Psychology at the south Calgary office, I offer comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to children (6 years and up), youth, and adults. I work from a strengths-based approach, incorporating positive psychology in my process.
Psycho-educational assessments help to uncover a person’s psychological, cognitive, and educational skills as well as areas of need so that strategies and resources can be identified and implemented that support the child, youth, or adult in their daily life.
Having more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field, I believe that diagnostic clarity is critical in understanding exactly what supports will be most effective for each individual and how to best make progress. My collaborative approach involves the use of evidence based and empirically supported practices.

Our attention, mental health, and ability to learn and progress can be influenced by multiple factors. I use a biopsychosocial approach to identify all possible factors (biological, psychological, social) that influence a person's functioning, as well as to identify resources and supports within the multiple systems (family, school, work) in order to help the person thrive in each of their roles.
