Connection with others can be both the most important and the most painful aspect of life. You may feel conflicted: yearning for more rewarding relationships while being repeatedly hurt or disappointed by them. Perhaps you have grown tired of making sacrifices in your family or community without seeming to get anything back in return. Chronic disappointment is important to pay attention to, as it can impact mental, physical, and spiritual health. I am an experienced clinician who can help you identify and process thoughts, feelings and body sensations in order to transform them from depleting to vitalizing.
It is no secret that our planet is suffering. Understanding the linkages between climate catastrophe, colonialism, and racial/class injustices can cause overwhelm and despair. Eco-anxiety and eco-grief are too often experienced in isolation. I strive to create a safe space in which to process eco-distress, including leadership and generational betrayal.
I enjoy helping people connect to their true selves: it is an honour to witness transformation. As a member of the queer community, I am passionate about working with 2STLGBQiA+ individuals and relationships. Whether the struggle is related to identity, or you simply want to experience therapy in a queer affirming space, you are welcome to reach out!
