I specialize in helping children and their families. When kiddos experience trauma, their brains do their best to keep them safe, but this often results in challenging behaviours and circumstances. I take a systems-level approach, speaking with team members I am given consent to collaborate with, so that all of us can be on the same page about interventions and strategies. If a child sees all of the adults in their world working together to care for them, they thrive. Of note, I am qualified in British Columbia to assess children and adults for Autism, ADHD, and PTSD beginning in Fall 2025 .
I use predominantly non-verbal treatment modalities to help children and adults process things that are too difficult to talk about. This includes EMDR, Sand Tray Therapy, and Synergetic Play Therapy (which also works for adults!)
Sometimes a child's behaviour can seem baffling or overwhelming. Sometimes co-parenting in a separation seems utterly impossible. Sometimes recovery from traumatic experiences feels completely out of reach. And sometimes you stumble across someone like me, who is willing to listen, hold space, and work with you to put the puzzle pieces into place.
