Specializing in traumatic stress, maternal mental health as well as grief, my primary focus is on the dignity and uniqueness of each individual. I see my role as helping you to connect with your own innate wisdom in order to foster resilience. Offering a calm, compassionate presence my commitment is to partner with individuals to move beyond hurtful issues that may be getting in the way of a more fulfilling life. My primary treatment modalities include EMDR, polyvagal-inspired approaches as well as working with lifestyle modifications and complementary therapies to achieve optimal results.
Having worked over 20 years in health care, I deeply value a holistic approach that emphasizes the biological, psychological and spiritual factors that influence mood, cognition and social functioning. I have recently founded an integrative mental health initiative in Ottawa, and I regularly partner with like-minded practitioners to tailor my approach.
My services are offered in both French and English. If you are seeking reimbursement through private insurance, please verify whether you have coverage for social work services. Please feel free to contact me should you wish to discuss any specific needs.

Mother Connect

**Currently on hold due to Covid-19 restrictions**Mother Connect supports mothers who would have preferred to breastfeed but could not do so. Reasons for not breastfeeding may range anywhere from an infection to an infant being tongue-tied, to a traumatic birth or the onset of postpartum depression. When mothers lose their opportunity to breastfeed their child, and it is not their choice, they may experience a host of feelings related to the grief of the loss of this important mother-child relationship. Mother Connect offers a space for women to share their loss with other mothers who share a similar experience.
