Hi I’m Laura, wife, sister, daughter, hockeymom, amateur ball player, recovering people pleaser, trauma survivor, and counsellor, and I do not believe that your labels define who you are! We are individuals and uniquely and unapologetically imperfect. I enjoy working will all people (kids 10+, men, women, couples, families, LGBTQ+) to find and understand their true authentic self. Whether that be working on coping skills, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, relationship issues, emotion regulation, trauma, etc. I am here for you for whatever you need from a non-judgmental listening ear to vent to, or a deep dive into past trauma.
I understand that life can be chaotic and finding time for your mental health is tough, which is why I offer a variety of services (in person, online, and telehealth sessions). I have over 12 years experience in the helping profession, I have a Master of Arts in Counsellor Psychology, Canadian Certified Counsellor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.
I offer a casual, safe, and supportive space for you to explore your identity, work on your emotions, and identify the coping skills that work for you. We will work through various counselling techniques and I come from a holistic, client centered approach which includes CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma counselling and more.
