I approach therapy with curiosity, a collaborative mindset, and respect for the knowledge that you hold about yourself and your life. I work with people facing challenges associated with life transitions, grief, neurodivergence, and mental health and wellbeing. I meet with clients of all ages, and I particularly specialize in working with youth. In addition to my work as a therapist, I am pursuing a PhD in social work where my research focuses on how youth mental health and the climate crisis intersect. I support young people experiencing eco-anxiety, depression, fear about the future, and concern for the environment.
I have worked in mental health for 10+ years in community-based, private, non-profit, post-secondary, and hospital contexts with youth, young adults, and adults.
My approach is trauma-informed and consent-seeking. My practice is primarily informed by Narrative Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and is deeply rooted in values of social justice, equity, and anti-oppression. I offer single session, short, medium, and long-term counselling. All sessions are virtual over video call.
