Many survivors of sexual, physical, or emotional abuse become experts at looking “fine.” You might go to work, show up for others, or seem okay on the outside while privately feeling anxious, numb, ashamed, angry, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode. Intimacy may feel complicated. Your body may react before your mind can catch up. Even if what happened was years ago, it can still affect your relationships, confidence, sense of safety, and ability to fully feel like yourself.
You don’t need to prove your trauma for it to deserve support. I help survivors understand how trauma continues to impact their emotions, body, relationships, and sense of self. Together, we’ll process what you’ve been through, make sense of survival patterns, and build tools to help you feel more grounded, safe, and connected.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to carrying everything alone. You don’t need to have the “right” words or share everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and supportive, without pressure or judgment. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.
