I work with adults, teens, and children primarily using DBT, CBT, and ERP to treat anxiety disorders, phobias, self-harm, and OCD. I use a Family Systems Theory (FST) and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) approach in my work with families. I previously taught eighth and ninth grade math for six years and became a mother during that period.
I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention therapy and have had the privilege of watching many clients respond extremely well to this treatment approach. I utilize evidence-based interventions and strive to create a safe, non-judgemental, and trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients and their families.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I also work with youth and adults struggling with their sexuality and/or gender identity. I have a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, a Bachelors of Education, and an Undergraduate Arts Degree. I am also a certified Special Education Specialist and provide accommodated counselling support for identified learners.
