About
Professional, confidential, client-centered services with a licensed therapist. See www.LashaShaw.com for more information. - - - Clients usually contact me because they know something is wrong. Some feel stressed, anxious, or depressed. Others feel overwhelmed and confused. Many have started to notice problems in their sleep, mood, relationships, or work/school performance. Sometimes they aren't sure what's going wrong and they need help to identify the problem. Sometimes they know what they need to do, but they don't seem to be able to do it. That's where therapy can help.
People who come to see me want help from a professional who has knowledge and expertise. At the same time, they want to talk to a real person who makes them feel comfortable, who cares, and who won't judge them. My way of doing therapy emphasizes emotion-focussed, person centred, trauma informed, and somatic techniques.
I take particular pride in welcoming clients who are nervous about therapy, those who have had trouble finding the right therapist, and people seeking therapy that is both affirming of their lived experiences and helpful in making changes. Want to get started on feeling better? Get in touch and we'll work on it together.
