About
I would love to have the opportunity to work with you on challenges affecting your day-to-day life. I enjoy working with children, teens and adults and have 20 years of teaching and training experience in addition to my counselling training. My experiences with trauma, grief, and loss have led me to counsel. I believe this greatly assists me in understanding and honouring your experiences. I strive to provide a safe space to share and learn new skills to build the life you want in line with your values and beliefs.
Through my experience as a former educator, I have developed an understanding of various neurodevelopmental issues such as ADHD. If spirituality is an important aspect of your life, I would be happy to support integrating your spiritual beliefs into your development of coping strategies as well as in understanding your thoughts and emotions.
My approach to therapy is an integrative one that is person-centred in which I utilize techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Spiritually Augmented CBT, and Polyvagal theory which I combine to meet the needs of my clients. I look forward to speaking with you.

ACT for Depression and Anxiety
ACT for Depression and Anxiety group runs weekly for 10 weeks and is devoted to helping members encounter depression and anxiety differently and pursue a full and meaningful life.
Act on your Recovery
Group aims: To provide an opportunity to explore the role of drugs and alcohol within your life, to explore barriers to changing substance use, should you choose to do so, and find workable ways we respond to these barriers, and to provide a space in life where we can consider actions, both large and small, that will move us toward a life we value.
