People have different needs in therapy - some want to be heard and make sense of their experiences, while others want to learn new skills to navigate problems. We can meet to process difficult experiences, cope with uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, or change something about your behaviour.
I offer evidence informed therapy for a variety of concerns. Some of my expertise involves working with trauma, anger problems, depression and anxiety. I also have experience working with veterans and first responders. I provide video therapy to clients across Alberta.
I believe therapy should be process where you feel respected and gain practical strategies to improve your mental health. I will keep what you disclose confidential (subject to legal limits). I will not force you to try new things, or talk about things you don't want to. You decide what you what to improve and what you want to keep the same.
