I'm a social worker with over 15 years of experience with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating the dynamic adversities of life. Individuals come to me feeling overwhelmed, unsure how to move forward, or are facing complex dynamics in everyday life. Others are moving through fertility journeys, pregnancy, postpartum, or relationship changes. I have a special interest in working with parents. I aim to provide a collaborative, non-judgmental space and use evidence-informed, attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches to strengthen insight, regulation, and connection so families can move forward with confidence.

When you have spent years keeping everyone else happy, navigating difficult dynamics, or managing a constant mental load, your body eventually learns to live on high alert. It usually shows up as an underlying anxiety, quiet exhaustion, or a deep-seated self-doubt. I specialize in helping women step out of that survival fog and find their way back home to themselves. You don't need to be "fixed" - you just need a dedicated, protective space to safely set down what isn't yours, untangle your protective parts, settle your nervous system, and reclaim your own voice and truth. I'm here to walk alongside you.

Healing isn’t about quieting the world around you. It’s about feeling anchored within yourself. When life feels like a cycle of constant overload and overwhelm, it can be easy to feel disconnected from yourself. Together, we can create a space to navigate through the tension and rediscover the quiet strength that has been there all along. How does it feel to imagine a path where you don’t just manage your pain, but you change your relationship with it?

I help high-achieving, highly intelligent people stop overthinking and begin living from an integrated, directed self. Using a blend of parts work, somatic practice, and spiritual integration, I help you identify the internal voices and blocked energies that keep progress short-lived, and guide you to compassionate dialogue, boundary-setting, and embodied action. Many clients arrive feeling fractured. They are driven by intellect, but disconnected from desire, feeling, and meaning. Together we translate insight into sustainable change.

All of us have an innate pull toward a healthier, happier way of being. Even beliefs, feelings, or behaviours that seem unhealthy can make sense—and can change—when explored with a compassionate, well‑trained professional. For 25 years, I’ve assisted adults, couples, youth, children, and families in finding effective ways to meet life’s challenges. We can heal at the broken places, discover our strengths, and meet our flaws with grace to create resilience. My passion is helping people grow through adversity, move beyond just surviving, and discover that life can feel joyful.

My ideal client feels overwhelmed, stuck, and unsure how to move forward. They may struggle with anxiety, depression, concussion related mental health, addiction, OCD, trauma, or challenges in their relationships or career. Many face pressure to appear strong while feeling disconnected or unsure how to express vulnerability. They’re seeking relief, clarity, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Their goal is to feel confident, grounded, and capable of building a life that aligns with their values.

You may be feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges, weighed down by self-doubt, or uncertain about how to move forward. Perhaps you’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship stress, or the demands of family life. Maybe you’ve lost touch with your strengths and just want a safe place to be heard. Whatever brings you here, your goal is likely the same: to feel more grounded, understood, and connected to yourself, so you can create a life that feels authentic and meaningful.

Motherhood can crack things open. You may be caring for a new baby while carrying the weight of a hard birth, anxiety, or a quiet loss of who you used to be. For many women, parts of their own childhood surface in unexpected ways often alongside a deep sense of loneliness. I work with women navigating birth trauma, postpartum anxiety, and identity shifts in motherhood. Many of my clients feel stuck replaying their birth experience or disconnected from their bodies and sense of self. Our work focuses on healing at the root so this chapter can be integrated into your story, not something you carry alone.

I have dedicated my career to working with first responders. I have worked with many individuals who are wrestling with the question "Do I have a workplace injury?" This question is complex and not straightforward. I have a wealth of knowledge supporting first responder's with this dilemma and many other issues such as just feeling off, anger/irritability, lack of sleep, trust, working in a negative workplace culture, moral injury/sanctuary trauma. I also have an extensive working knowledge of WSIB (deciding when and how to make a claim), long term disability, retirement/pension and career planning.

Throughout life's stages of growth and change, we experience times when we thrive and times when challenges arise. I provide psychological assessment and therapy for children, teens and adults who may be facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, or issues of self-worth. I also support clients and families navigating transitions or seeking clarity about learning, attention or social-emotional needs. Whether the goal is to better understand a diagnosis, explore strategies for coping, or create a plan for growth, I work collaboratively with clients and families to build trust, highlight strengths, and support meaningful change.

Let’s be real: healing isn’t linear, tidy, or predictable. It’s tender, courageous, disruptive, liberating—and you don’t have to walk it alone. If you’ve landed here, something in your world is asking for care. Maybe it’s the hum of anxiety that never really quiets, the ache of old wounds that weren’t given the space they deserved, the overwhelm of relationships that feel too heavy or too tangled, or the quiet belief that you’re somehow “not enough.” Whatever brought you here, please know this: you are not broken. You are a whole human carrying history, complexity, brilliance, and pain—and you’re welcome here exactly as you are.

Early life experiences are foundational in our development. Mental health and addiction are often symptoms of repressed emotions related to underlying issues and unmet needs. This can hold us hostage, interfering in our ability to live fulfilling lives and develop meaningful connections with others. It is common to have developed and maintained coping mechanisms that no longer serve a purpose yet have become habitual and with that familiar. Therapy is a place where thoughts and feelings are explored, validated, and with that normalized. Healing occurs through self-discovery and the sense of empowerment that accompanies this.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

Most Counsellors and Psychotherapists listed in the directory are certified by one of the main professional associations, mainly the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and will have a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) designation with their name. Social Workers listed in the directory must be registered members of the college specific to their province. To be listed in the directory, Psychologists must be registered with the psychological college specific to their province or territory.

Providers whose professional membership or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Given the considerable variation in professional regulation and prerequisites across Canadian provinces, some providers may possess significant professional qualifications without necessarily holding professional memberships or being obliged to acquire them. As a result, they may be selectively included without the "Verified" seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?

Psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists and social workers can all provide counselling or talking therapy and have credentials and supervised, practical experience that enable them to do so in Canada.

Psychologists have a master's and/or doctoral degree and have passed both written and oral exams. Psychologists are able to complete mental health assessments and provide diagnostic information to clients as well as provide counselling therapy or psychotherapy. Counsellors and psychotherapists are expected to have a master's or doctoral degree in counselling psychology, social work, or a related mental health discipline and certification by a professional association, such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Registered Social Workers possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work and where possible must be licensed or certified by the provincial government and/or regulatory college.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, the cost of a therapy session in Canada could be between $100 and $200. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

If you are struggling to access therapy due to budget constraints, you could also consider public funded mental health services. Some types of outpatient mental health services are covered by Medicare, provided these are performed by a licensed mental health professional in the provinces or territory you reside in and who accepts the assignment.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postal code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Professionals licensed by regulatory colleges and those certified by associations such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association are obligated to uphold client confidentiality unless there is a legal reason that requires them to disclose information. Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship and only under specific circumstances, such as when there is the potential or known harm to the client or others, or a court order, will a therapist be obligated to break the agreement. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed during the initial consultation.
