Are you or your teen feeling alone, overwhelmed or experiencing grief? Reaching out for support is a courageous first step towards making changes or healing from a loss. I provide a compassionate and collaborative environment and specialize in the experience of grief, loss and life transitions including bereavement, end stages of life, chronic illness, dementia, caregiving, stress, anxiety, depression and emotional eating. When we are experiencing challenges, transitions or loss, we can benefit from an opportunity to explore what is impacting our emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological well-being, and to reflect on what we have lost and what remains.
My therapeutic approach is mindfulness-based using cognitive behavioural models, narrative therapy, and solution-focused therapy. My background includes many years of individual counselling experience at a cancer support centre in Oshawa, with youth in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, and with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).
You don't have to go through challenges alone. My passion for my work, combined with my skills and diverse counselling experiences can help you find clarity, overcome obstacles, and live your life with more ease, acceptance and meaning.
