Maya Angelou said, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you". Our stories are profound and provide significant insight into who we are and where we have come from. It is through the act of sharing our stories that we can derive meaning and purpose from the painful experiences we have been through. Therapy can be a time of learning how our past often impacts our present experiences, choices, and behaviours. These insights can have a profound impact on understanding the cycles and behaviours we often find ourselves repeating.
My therapeutic approach involves working together to understand the parts of your story that have been difficult to process alone. I enjoy drawing from various modalities such as Psychodynamic approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Existential Therapy. I work with clients 16+ and can provide virtual and in-person services.
My education includes a Master's in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy (MA) from Wilfrid Laurier, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Redeemer University (BA).
