About
Finding the right therapist and committing to psychotherapy isn't easy. If you’re ready to develop insight, self-compassion, and skills, l'm ready to use humour, energy, and warmth to supplement principles from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and other methods to customize an approach. I work with women aged 18 and up in many stressful circumstances. We target concerns like mood fluctuations, anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, loss, self-esteem, stress management, and much more.
I have been working, teaching, and volunteering in social services for over 20 years, and I have spent the last 14 years working in hospital-based mental health services. Authenticity and integrity are very important to me. I take pride in cultivating a safe environment that feels genuine and informal, and yet is knowledge-driven and effective.
I would love to collaboratively build a calming space where you can feel safe enough to voice your vulnerabilities and work toward re-establishing peace of mind. I invite you to contact me and explore how we might work together. You can also find me at: https://mhealthday.wixsite.com/mhday
