As a psychotherapist, I believe that each individual's journey is unique, and so should be the approach to healing and growth. I focus on fostering deep, authentic connections in therapy and creating a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. In addition to providing traditional talk therapy, I integrate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into my work, a highly researched, evidence-based approach that the World Health Organization has deemed the top treatment for trauma.
Amazingly, EMDR has been deemed an effective approach for a variety of presenting concerns, from anxiety and depression to addictions and perfectionism. For example, a 2015 study from Brain & Behavior revealed that nearly 70% of people saw marked improvements in depressive symptoms after EMDR and that these were maintained at follow-up one year later.
