About
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree, specialization in Clinical Social Work. My primary area of focus is divorce and separation, working with the entire family, children (over 12) and individuals going through this big family change. I work with families in the Collaborative Family Law Process, voluntary process, or with those under court-ordered interventions. I believe in early intervention with families going through this difficult time prior to conflict escalating, however if conflict is set in then a direct, solution-focused approach is key.
I work with clients to build awareness about their experience, while instilling hope and change for clients. I subscribe to the viewpoint that the individual is interconnected with others and their environment, and these connections can contribute to the overall concern and betterment.
I believe in entering each therapeutic relationship in an open and respectfully manner, and ready to work in the therapeutic process. I am an approved provider for NIHB and IRS program for First Nations and Inuit people of Canada. I also offer a sliding scale to ensure counselling is more affordable.
