About
Life transitions, daily stressors, trauma, and mental illnesses can negatively influence the way we think, feel, and behave. These factors can cause us to feel "stuck" in old habits and patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that no longer serve us. I recognize that when we are stuck, it is difficult to make that first step towards change and reach out for support. Hence, I acknowledge you for making the first step into finding what works best for you. I understand that you want to take charge of your mental and emotional pain so that you can unlock your utmost potential.
Edith Wharton said: "there are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it." As a solution-focused and narrative therapist, I view clients as the expert in their own lives. My counselling approach is eclectic and client-centred as as I value what works for you. I offer a free 15 min. phone consultation to discuss your needs.
I have over 8+ years of experience working with children, teens, adults, families, and about 3 years of experience facilitating relationship groups for women and men, as well as support groups for school-aged children, adolescents, and seniors. I am looking forward to collaborating with you to help you manage and transform your pain into growth.
