I have been practicing social work for nearly 15 years and am eternally grateful for the work I am able to do, and the relationships I have been able to form. I have worked in diverse practice areas which have provided me with the knowledge, skills and compassion needed to create meaningful, therapeutic relationships with people. I believe in the value of showing up as my genuine self in sessions with you. My approach is client-centered; I bring a variety of tools to the table, and I believe that you do as well, and our work together will be collaborative and goal driven. I work with young people and adults, as well as couples.
My approach is truly eclectic in that I believe there is no such thing as one-size-fits all in a therapeutic relationship. I am trained in many theoretical approaches including CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I also provide couples therapy based in the Gottman Method.
I believe that each person must be considered in the context of their environment and that sometimes there are systemic and environmental factors to consider. I believe each person is doing the best they can in any given moment.

"
I rely primarily on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with individuals. In this work, you can expect conversations about your values, what matters to you, and how you can create a life that aligns with those values. With couples, I rely on the Gottman method. In this therapy couples can expect a focus on managing conflict, creating connection and improving communication.
