I'm so glad you are here, and I hope to share a little about how I work and a little about myself along the way as well. I truly believe that fit is one of the most important parts about therapy & getting started can be often be one of the toughest parts. I am Registered Social Worker (RSW) & Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and have been working in various counselling roles over the past 10 years. I work from an intersectional feminist lens and notice the impact of gender, ableism, class, sexual orientation, race & socioeconomic status can have on mental health. I truly believe that 'feminism is for everybody'.
Clients describe me as compassionate, inviting and with a good sense of humour. Our work together may include strengthening coping strategies for mood challenges (such as depression/anxiety), navigating boundaries, identity, building self compassion, healing from painful experiences from the past or just creating a safe space to be heard, seen & validated.
I work with individuals (adults, and youth 15 years+) and relationship clients. I am an LGBTQ2SIA and poly-friendly counsellor who is openly childfree. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Queer Theory, Self Compassion, ACT & Narrative Therapy into sessions and am EMDR certified for folks who may be seeking specific trauma therapy.
