My name is Kirsten Camartin and I am an Associate with Grey Bruce Art Therapy & Associates. I am a Registered Social Worker with 20 years experience. I rely on evidence-based approaches to inform my practice including Art Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T), DBT, Solution Focused Therapy and Psychoeducation.
I use a blended trauma informed approach of talk and art therapy to support, understand and collaborate with individuals of all ages experiencing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief and loss, substance use, caregiver stress, burnout and troubling relationship dynamics.
The lens through which I practice with includes believing you are the expert of your own life, clarity and growth is possible, validation of your circumstances is necessary for connection and the creation of a therapeutic alliance, and you deserve a non-judgmental space to work through the things that don’t feel quite right.
