The focus of my work is supporting people to discover, befriend, and transform old ways of being. Through exploring personal narratives, habitual responses, and the subconscious terrain, we work together to create fresh space and open to new ways of being. Sessions with me involve talk therapy with somatic exercises, parts work and hypnotherapy woven in as is supportive and appropriate. I am warm and grounded, and keep the session energy flowing through active inquiry and deep listening. Working at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you is key, and so I regularly check in to ensure that this is your experience.
I have worked in the field of mental health for 20+ years and engaged in community counselling for 12 years. I hold a degree in Contemplative Psychology from Naropa University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Toronto. I draw from developmental and somatic theory, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and employ a trauma-informed approach.
