Hi! I’m Kerry. Thanks for taking the time to check out my page! I know it can be overwhelming when you are looking for someone to help with deeply personal issues, so let me tell you a bit about me to see if I might be a good fit!
I am a confident and content 50-year-old woman, experienced with issues of separation and divorce, raising children, aging parents, substance use, intimate partner violence and abuse, autism, grief, and trauma from major life events. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a proven treatment for post-traumatic stress. I am a champion for others and a bit of a momma bear.
I work in both a middle/high school and private practice with people aged 12+ and I LOVE my job. I love helping people see the world through a new lens and learn to love themselves again. We are a product of our experiences, but those are our perspectives. When we learn to see things from a different lens, we can understand how to undo the harm they've done.
I use a tailored approach to therapy. Some people are looking to vent their emotions, and others come to learn. The journey is yours. I will provide different ways to get to where you want to go.
