I have been working for over 25 years, as an educator and a counsellor. I enjoy helping people navigate life’s obstacles. I like to teach people new skills, while acknowledging we all have a legitimate way of being that needs to be recognized and respected. I think helping people recognize their own power fosters the strength and resilience needed to face life’s challenges. I have helped clients with various needs and have extensive experience helping clients on the autism spectrum, and clients with developmental disabilities. My practice is neurodiversity affirming, and I am comfortable working with clients of all ages.
My approach is diverse. I have a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, but I believe there are many paths up the mountain. Therefore, I have studied and have familiarity with many other modalities, including Applied Positive Psychology, trauma intervention, and Motivational Interviewing. I believe the approach must fit the needs of my clients.
I am available for sessions in person, online and by phone. I have recently expanded my hours and am currently welcoming new clients.
