About
I am a Registered Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist with a passion for supporting people to face and overcome adversity, build resilience, and achieve their goals. I specialize in supporting children, youth, and adults who have experienced trauma, displayed at-risk behaviours, problems with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and social and relational issues. I am also trained in supporting couples to improve their relationship and foster greater communication. I meet clients where they are and I am committed to treating clients with empathy, respect, and unconditional positive regard.
My therapeutic style is focused on working collaboratively with clients to develop insights and arrive at strategies and tools that bring positive life changes. My approach is goal orientated and client-centred using anti-oppression, anti-racism, and anti-stigma principles, along with mutual respect and cultural sensitivity.
As a therapist at Become Resilient Individuals (BRI) Counselling Services, I create a warm, safe, welcoming and brave space where all voices can be heard, challenges overcome, and lives transformed. The BRI Counselling mission is to ignite hope, build strengths and empower people to become more resilient in all aspects of life.
