Welcome to Foster Art! We practice art together, making and drawing thoughts and feelings. Experiences can be represented in symbolic art and through the lens of unconscious processing. I work with artists out of touch with their inner spark and sense of flow. Grief, loneliness, and a feeling of being out to sea can bring individuals into my office, but also the desire to make life "better", whatever that means to them. We move through feeling and overwhelm to find a place of peace and create safety tools to move through the world at large.
I offer therapy that uses art to self-express. With experience in bereavement and palliative care, along with a background in psychology and fine arts, I can help you explore a grounded sense of self, internalized grief, and find coping tools through creativity to better understand and nurture yourself.
Moving through artistic stagnation can be depleting, and by implementing therapeutic practices, kinder self-talk, and a deeper understanding of your motivation, creative movement can be regained. Reach out to book a consultation if you want to see if this is the right fit for you!
