From smaller life bumps to major life events, some experiences leave a deeper impact than others. Those memories are often processed naturally, but sometimes they get “stuck”. The impacts can show up later as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, overwhelm, recurring dreams or nightmares and sleep issues, unhealthy or negative patterns or cycles, PTSD, and more. Our registered counsellors/therapists, social workers, and registered psychologist use EMDR therapy to help break the memory-body connection - removing those symptoms, freeing you of those feelings. We're currently accepting new clients.

Life is filled with ups and downs. When faced with a significant event like a traumatic birth or perinatal death, motor vehicle accident, or other an unexpected upheaval, the moment can etch itself on our nervous system. We can feel frozen in time, overwhelmed, and unable to move forward. I work with clients to manage stress, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, unhealthy relationships with food, and coping with chronic Illness.

Hi, I’m Janice. I know it can feel really overwhelming to find a new counsellor who you connect with and feel comfortable to share some really hard things that have led you here. My approach to counselling is to start where you are and to go at your pace. In a heart-centred, gentle, emotionally safe, trauma-sensitive and supportive way, together we will explore and help you see and access your healing, wisdom, and growth. Everyone has an innate capacity to feel better and live a more peaceful and authentic life. It would be my privilege to walk with you on your healing journey.

Welcome! Have you been having a hard time processing an impactful event or events you experienced recently or even in the past? Maybe you just want to understand why you have such big reactions in some situations, or around certain people. You may be searching for some practical day to day tools or may be looking to get to the root of your dysregulation. While my practice focuses on treatment of trauma, what you have experienced in your life may not feel like "trauma". Instead you may be experiencing anxiety, emotional over-reactions, constant feeling of watching your environment for safety concerns, or other unsettling feelings

I work with people who have experienced trauma, who are looking for connection with self, who are going through life transitions, who feel stuck or lost and/or who are struggling with their emotions. I often, although not exclusively, work with people who are 2SLGTBQ+ and want to work with a queer trans therapist. Integrating trauma is courageous and wherever you are on the journey- I am here to meet you where you are at.

Welcome! I specialize in working with anxiety and mood disorders, PTSD, fears and phobias, traumatic brain injuries, and neurodivergent individuals, including those with ADHD and Autism. My approach is trauma-informed and neuro-affirming, grounded in an understanding of how the nervous system and lived experiences shape emotional and behavioural responses. I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to gently process trauma, reduce emotional distress, and create lasting change. I also integrate DBT skills as a practical resource to help clients manage difficult emotions and navigate life’s challenges.
