Do you ever find yourself unable to talk yourself out of an unfavourable state, and then feel shame and guilt for not being able to do so? Or do you find yourself feeling overly emotional or overstimulated in your surroundings? I am passionate about these topics and feel honoured to accompany my clients through their unique journey. I love to work with teens, adults, and couples and work hard to discover the potential they did not know they have. I strive to work with my clients to find solutions together; everyone has different needs and what will work for one may not work for another.
I work from the perspective of "what happened to you?" instead of "what is wrong with you?". During sessions I am listening for common themes and am interested in how situations made you feel no matter how insignificant they seem. I strive to instill compassion in my clients and enable them to become aware of why they think and feel the way they do.
I am passionate about working with my clients and let them dictate how our time is spent. I strive to create a safe environment where you feel comfortable. We can simply sit and talk, do hands-on activities, listen to music, or all of the above; everyone has different comfort levels and I am happy to accommodate everyone's needs.
