About
Kelly Binder is the owner of Trauma Transformation Therapy. Her passion is to work collaboratively and compassionately with adults to create the conditions needed to support their nervous system’s ability to renegotiate and release trauma from the body. Her joy is bearing witness to her clients’ increased capacity to gradually be with and integrate their experience of trauma (e.g., thoughts, emotions, sensations, etc.) and rebalance their nervous system; thus, restoring vitality and aliveness so they can lead more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
She has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years, 8 years of which has been providing individual and group psychotherapy to students attending Western University. She has had the privilege and honour to support individuals in their own journey of trauma recovery and resolution.
Kelly uses an integrative, trauma-informed, attachment-focused, "bottom-up" approach to address nervous system dysregulation from polyvagal and structural dissociation theory perspectives to resolve symptoms of PTSD as well as developmental, complex trauma using various trauma treatment modalities.
