I have twenty years of experience working in mental health, including over fourteen years in a psychiatric hospital setting. My training is in a number of orientations, with advanced training in mindfulness, meaning-oriented modalities, and an integrated psychodyamic approach (self-in-relationship therapy). I've also received training in the area of grief and loss.
I practice a humanistic, whole-person therapy: we discuss your current stressors, examine how your past has influenced your ability to cope, and work on skills such as setting boundaries, better communication, and management of emotions. I also invite you to look at the bigger picture of your life: envisioning your future self and making appropriate changes.
I’m a good listener, empathetic, and I want you to feel better. Figuring out what's important to you is critical during these stressful times.
