I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and founder of Untying the Knots Counselling Services. I have a deep desire to empower individuals to be heard, specifically, individuals who have been silenced. As such, I take a relational and trauma-informed approach to support individuals experiencing relationship issues, attachment injuries, and unhealed trauma. I start by building your knowledge of how past trauma can impact your present. Then, I help you identify and understand how underlying emotions (anger, anxiety, distrust) and attachment styles obscure your relationship with yourself and others.
Trauma often leads to interruptions, miscommunication, disconnection or misaligned connections. However, healing is possible. Here are two things to consider: 1) Healing starts within, and 2) healing takes time. I use a compassionate approach to encourage and remind you to be gentle while rebuilding relationships with yourself and others.
