Hello, and welcome. If you are here you may be seeking ways to cope with difficult things in your life — finding a way to be with uncertainty, sadness or pain; managing relationships or work; perhaps noticing feelings and thoughts that you may not even fully understand. The hard part of this work is seeing and holding what is inside of us, being with it, and perhaps making sense of it. The beautiful part of this work is gathering the hurtful bits and the joyful pieces and holding them all at the same time, together. I will not, and cannot, tell you how to be but I can create safety and openness with you.
We live within structural contexts (race, caste, capitalism to name a few) and I invite us to look at those contexts when we talk about the troubles you feel inside of you. As a racialized immigrant, I also have a sense of the dislocations embedded in migration. The space I offer recognizes that external contexts come to impact us from the inside.
I have 6 years of experience working as a queer/trans affirmative therapist in India, and my practice there continues remotely. I'm currently a student at the Toronto Institute for Relational Therapy. My work is feminist, relational, and embodied.
